Giulio spent several months traveling to underrepresented and misrepresented countries overseas and landed in a very special place: rural Afghanistan. With the help of a guide he learned about all of the needs the local community had and how little it would cost to change the course of an entire generation's lives in this area. He brought the idea up to Bryan and the two set to work with the elders of the community to get teachers back into classrooms and give the community's children the irreplaceable gift of knowledge.
A few months into the project, the two of them crossed paths with Micherre and decided to take this idea to greater heights with a simple notion: this community is not an isolated incident. With the passion that unites them, and donations from people like you, the team at LLP plans to help put children in front of teachers in many more communities globally.
In the coming months and years we hope to both support our current project and find new underserved towns and villages in the countries that need it most. As we do, we'll set up supports to help those places help themselves.
Currently, we're talking to the elders of a village adjacent to our flagship about reworking their school options. We're working to bring in supplies and fund more teachers to, ultimately, get two school buildings to run at full capacity.
All three of us feel strongly that access to a teacher is one of the most core human needs. This flagship project, and those to come, is our love letter to that belief.
Bryan, Giulio, Mehul, and Micherre are not just at the helm but also on the ground and everywhere in between.
